Having said all of that, most problems with belt grinders can be attributed to something being out of alignment. I made my own KMG clone and try as I might I had a small alignment issue and had to go back and build into the grinder an adjustment to be able to fix the tiny alignment issue, cause the belt did not like it!!!!
