When the thermal power plant from steady state A reaches steady state C, the process is referred to as the cycling load. Fig. 8 is a schematic of the cycling load processes. Thermal power units from steady state A to steady state C have different paths of 1–2–3 and 1–4–5 with 8 and 20 MW/min load change rates, respectively.
